Decorated with old wood, dark colours and above all a unique typography, the kitchen of this gîte is particularly welcoming. Its strong personality and clear decorative choices give it the elegant atmosphere of a delicatessen. As in a traditional mountain kitchen, the fronts of the cupboards and drawers are decorated with 100-year-old wood. A functional sink is integrated into the uncluttered anthracite worktop. The credenza is decorated with warm, glossy black handmade tiles. We have carefully selected traditional glazed stoneware crockery to match the cosy atmosphere of this luxury rental.

You won't find this gourmet and offbeat atmosphere of a traditional delicatessen in any other mountain location.

A fully equipped and functional open plan kitchen with stunning mountain views

Open to the living area, no one will feel isolated while cooking in this friendly kitchen. Rustic yet minimalist, this contemporary rental has clean lines and is equipped with top of the range appliances. Neutral linen crockery and tea towels complete the Nordic feel of the kitchen. In the morning, before setting off for the ski slopes or hiking trails, you can enjoy your mountain breakfast at the bistro tables set up on the sunny balcony. Facing south-east, you can enjoy the first rays of sunrise behind the Mont Blanc massif.

Slide open the bay window in the kitchen to access the chalet's large sheltered balcony/terrace. This is the ideal place to enjoy a raclette on the Brésière, just like in a restaurant. Unless you prefer a Savoyard fondue with Comté cheese and white wine, with a view of the mountain.

Every Saturday there is a market in Sallanches. You will find a wide range of excellent fresh products from local producers. Mature farm cheeses, lake perch fillets, farm bacon... are typical products of these beautiful valleys of Savoie Mont-Blanc.

Did you know that this region is at the heart of the production area of the best mountain cheeses? The Appelation d'Origine Protégée (AOP) rewards the excellent Reblochon, Chevrotin, Tomme, Beaufort and Abondance. Many of these cheeses are made right here in the Cordon, in the dairies of the mountain farms. Just a stone's throw from Chalet les Cerises, herds of dairy cows graze in the summer months on the pastures of the Aravis.
